
Track and Field Concludes 2026 Season at NCAA East Regionals

Haydn Brotschi leads the way with top 20 finish in the 400m
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Columbia Track and Field concluded its 2026 season this weekend at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field NCAA Championship Eastern Prelims in the University of Kentucky's Outdoor Track & Field Complex.
Haydn Brotschi was off to a great start, advancing to the quarterfinals after clocking 45.57 in the first round. The senior clocked 45.59 in the quarterfinal run, finishing in 20th place but just missing out on an NCAA qualification.
Lucy Henkel left it all on the track, clocking 2:04.58 which was good for 25th place, and missed the qualifying time to advance to the quarters by just a tenth of a second.
George Blaha came in 38th place in the men's 10,000m semifinals with a time of 30:15.26.
Edward Blaha capped off the postseason run, finishing the men's 5000m semifinals in 14:11.13, good for 28th place.
