NEW YORK – Columbia women's basketball announced the dates for its 2019 Summer Camps. This year, there are seven sessions to choose from, including a Day Camp, an After School Camp, two Elite Camps, two Team Camps and an Academic Exposure Camp.
Campers will have the opportunity to step onto the court and learn from head coach Megan Griffith '07CC. A two-time All-Ivy League selection, Griffith captained the Lions for three seasons and is one of 11 players in program history to score 1,000 career points. She was inducted into the Columbia University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016.
Columbia women's basketball camps provide opportunities for all ages and skill levels. Sessions begin June 21 and run through August 11.

GIRLS ELITE CAMP (8th-12th Grade) – Session I: June 21-22 / Session II: August 11
Elite Camp is designed for players interested in playing basketball at the collegiate level. Through a variety of high-intensity drills, competitions, and 5-on-5 games, the camp will simulate what it takes to compete at the collegiate level. With a focus on the refinement of basketball skills and teaching advanced concepts, Elite Camp will help take your game to the next level. It is a great opportunity for motivated players to develop their game and be coached by the Columbia Women's Basketball coaching staff.

TEAM CAMP (8th-12th Grade) – Session I: June 23 / Session II: August 10
Team Camp is designed for high school teams that are looking for a day of intense, competitive, and fun basketball. Your players will get the opportunity to improve their basketball skills while being observed by the entire Columbia University Women's Basketball coaching staff. Team Camp is also a great way for your team to bond and develop tremendous chemistry. Each team is guaranteed three games against appropriate competition in air-conditioned Division 1 basketball facilities.

DAY CAMPS (1st-9th Grade) – After School Camp: June 24-28 / July Day Camp I: July 15-19
Day Camp is designed for players for all skill levels. It focuses on the development of fundamental basketball skills and the improvement of overall basketball knowledge. The camp atmospheres is high energy, as campers engage in fun drills and competitions with an emphasis on the enjoyment of the game. Each camper will be instructed and coached by the Division I Columbia Women's Basketball coaching staff and current players.

ACADEMIC EXPOSURE CAMP (All Ages) – August 9
Academic Exposure Camp is designed specifically for student-athletes who are interested in taking advantage of their hard work in the classroom, along with their work ethic on the court. The goal is to pair theses extraordinary high school students with regional programs that are looking for players who have what it takes on and off the court.
While at Lions Basketball Academic Exposure Camp, campers will have the opportunity to compete against players from all over the area and country. The camp will have a high level of instruction from Columbia Women's Basketball Staff and various other schools in attendance. As well as provide exposure to student-athletes interested in continuing their careers in college.

MEGAN GRIFFITH - CLASS OF 2007, HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2016
Named head coach of the Columbia women's basketball team in March of 2016 and inducted into the Columbia University Athletics Hall of Fame in October of 2016, Megan Griffith was one of the top Lions to ever step foot on the court in Morningside Heights. The 2007 graduate currently ranks eighth on the program's all-time scoring list with 1,061 points, making her one of only 11 players to ever reach the 1,000-point plateau. A three-time team captain, Griffith was named a two-time All-Ivy League selection, a two-time Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar Team member and a two-time Academic All-Ivy League selection and still ranks fourth all-time in free-throws made (256) and sixth in free-throw percentage (.766).
