Head Coach Al Carlson and assistant coaches Steve Oh and Karen Noble recruited their best ever class last season. This year's group of three recruits rivals their predecessors for that title.
Clayton Broyles (West Monroe, La.) regularly shoots in the low to mid 70s with the ability to go even lower. He placed tenth at the Louisiana Golf Association's Junior Amateur Championships. Chris Condello (Longwood, Fla.) has shown potential to be an elite player for the Lions. He recently finished ninth at the Doral Junior, an international tournament on one of the best courses in the nation. He was named second team all-Central Florida by the Orlando Sentinel. Condello also fired a 69 in qualifying for the Florida state amateur championship. Another Floridian, August "Gus" Quartararo (West Palm Beach, Fla.) has qualified for two U.S. national championships, a rare and impressive accomplishment for a junior player. All three players can be key contributors for the Lions as they look to improve on their impressive 2003 season.
