NEW YORK - Collegeswimming.com has named Tobin White its Division I Men's Swimmer of the Week, the nationally recognized Website announced.
White was a triple winner in Columbia's 197.5-102.5 triumph over Penn on Saturday, Dec. 10. With the victory, Columbia improved to 4-0 overall, 3-0 in the Ivy League.
The Lions' junior freestyler won the 50 free (21.47), 200 free (1:41.32) and anchored Columbia's victorious 200 free relay (1:24.81).
White has already won six individual events and been a part of five winning relays in four dual meets this season. He becomes the second Columbia swimmer in as many seasons to earn the weekly award from collegeswimming.com; Ben Collins '05 received the honor last winter.
