 ABOUT THE TEAM 


 

A top-notch staff of Columbia University Medical Center physicians work with Columbia University athletic trainers to provide the best in health care coverage for all Columbia student-athletes. Additionally, Columbia student-athletes are afforded access to all of CUMC's facilities and rehabilitation centers.

David P. Trofa, MD, is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in the operative and non-operative treatment of athletes of all ages and skill levels. He is an expert in arthroscopic and open surgery of the knee and shoulder.

Thomas S. Bottiglieri, DO, is a sports medicine physician specializing in the management of orthopedic injuries and disorders impacting athletes at all skill levels from adolescents to seniors. In addition to treating the full spectrum of muscle, bone, tendon, and joint injuries, Dr. Bottiglieri is a nationally recognized expert in the field of concussion care. 

Dr. Michael Saulle is an Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and the Medical Director for Sports Medicine – Westchester Division. He is a dual board-certified physician in Sports Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He specializes in non-operative Spine and Sports Medicine with a particular interest in minimally invasive image-guided procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. 

Morgan Busko, MD is a sports medicine physician specializing in the non-operative treatment of chronic and acute musculoskeletal injuries and conditions in adult and pediatric patients.

Columbia also utilizes a staff of sub-specialists including experts in Shoulder/Elbow, Hand/Wrist, Spine, Hip/Knee, Foot/Ankle.
