Senior (2018-19):
Finished his senior season with a 21-24 record... Won all three bouts against Harvard at St. John's Super Cup (Jan. 19)... Represented the Lions at the Ivy League Championships (Feb. 10).. finished his Columbia career with a 67-55 overall record.
Sophomore (2016-17):
Started the season with 5-1 tally at Penn Elite Invitational (Nov. 5)...Went 3-0 at Columbia Invitational vs. Johns Hopkins (Nov. 18)...Tallied 5-4 record at Penn State Invitational (Jan. 15)
Freshmen (2015-16):
Earned first collegiate victory with a 5-1 decision over Anthony Musto (Hunter) at the Columbia Invitational (Nov. 6) … went 2-1 against NYU at the Historical Meet (Feb. 10).
Before Columbia:
Four-year varsity fencer at Hopkins School, serving as captain as a junior and senior … led his team to back-to-back Connecticut State High School Fencing Championship titles as a junior and senior while finishing in the top five as an individual in his sophomore (fifth), junior (third) and senior (fifth) years … member of the Fencing Academy of Westchester (A15) … also was a four-year varsity member of both the cross country team and track & field teams in high school.
Personal: Twin Brother Jake Poliner is on the Columbia baseball team.
