Aaron Curry enters his first season with the Columbia Football program as its Player Personnel Assistant and Assistant Social Media Director. As part of his position, Curry is responsible for assisting the Lions’ recruiting efforts and other administrative duties, along with aiding with the production of social media graphics.

Curry joins the Columbia Football staff after spending the last two years as a Graduate Assistant for Academics and Compliance at Wagner College from 2019-21. He also served as an associate content editor by preparing content for print and social media for the athletic department.

Curry has also been involved with a variety of other organizations including as a production coordinator for the Chelsea Film Festival in New York City, as a recruiting host for the TCU football program, and as an assistant manager at Del Rancho restaurants.

The Keller, Texas native is a former defensive tackle at both TCU and Nebraska. During his two-year, 25-game career at TCU, Curry totaled 91 tackles, 13.0 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and forced a fumble. While earning Second Team All-Big 12 honors, Second Team All-Big 12 honors from the Associated Press, and a Wuerffel Trophy nomination as a senior in 2016, Curry finished his senior year with 50 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss and five sacks while starting all 13 games. His career-high was eight tackles vs. Texas Tech. At Nebraska, he played in 17 games with 28 tackles and two sacks.

Curry is a 2017 graduate of TCU with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Arts, Entertainment and Media Management from Wagner College in 2021.

He is the co-Founder and President of the TCU S.P.A.R.K. program, which he created to connect with youth and raise awareness of the importance of higher education in public schools within lower income communities throughout Texas. Through the program, he gave inspirational speeches and used the college athletics platform to inspire and encourage socioeconomically challenged youth to stay in school.
