Spring 2013
Coach Mangurian on Nick Melka: Has played tackle and end. Will concentrate on defensive end. Tough, relentless, unselfish and dependable.  Did have some injury issues last year, but they are behind him now.  Has had a great off-season. Does what he is asked to do, and does it full speed. Should be an equal contributor in the end rotation.

2012: Played in 3 games … tallied eight tackles and one-half of a sack … recorded a season-high four tackles against Princeton … posted two solo stops at Lehigh … assisted on a sack at Penn.

2011: Played in all 10 games ... totaled 20 tackles and two quarterback hurries.

2010: Played in one game ... saw plenty of junior varsity time.

At Benet Academy: Four-year player and two-year letterwinner ... team captain as a senior ... compiled 68 tackles and 10 sacks on defense while also playing tight end on offense ... All-East Suburban Catholic Conference at both positions ... selected all-area by the Daily Herald ... named all-city by Naperville Sun ... Naperville Sun Defensive Player of the Week ... also was a member of the track and field team.
