Concluded career after having started 30 games (20 at center and 10 at right guard) for Columbia … Played in 30 career games and started 30 consecutive contests … Four-year letterman … Two career tackles.

Named to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society … Earned team’s Jack Armstrong Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award at team banquet … Started all 10 games as a senior right guard … Prior to season, switched positions with Parker Coogan and moved to right guard from center … Part of a Lions offensive line that allowed just 19.0 sacks for 126 yards in 2018, which ranks as the second lowest opponent total in school history … Lions offensive line allowed zero sacks at Brown (Nov. 10) and only 1.0 sack in four games (Cornell, Nov. 17; Marist, Oct. 6; at Georgetown, Sept. 22; at Central Connecticut, Sept. 15).

Born Tyler James Schonewolf on October 9, 1996 … Son of Rich and Cheryl Schonewolf of Williamsport, Pa. … Parents both attended Penn State University … Father was a two-year starter on the defensive line at Penn State in 1988 and 1989 under Joe Paterno and was a member of the 1986 National Championship team … Father later played two seasons in NFL Europe … Began playing football in the seventh grade but was always around the game because of his father and grandfather, who coached for 40 years … Nicknamed the “Rennaissance Man” in high school for his well-rounded athletic and academic accomplishments … Served on Columbia’s campus as a 2016 Commencement Week Event host … Chose Columbia over Brown, Bucknell, Cornell, Holy Cross, Army West Point, Lafayette and Penn … Enrolled at Columbia College … Majors in American Studies.
