James Wyatt

James Wyatt '22CC is in his first year as an assistant coach for the Columbia men's and women's squash teams.

Wyatt was a two-time All-Ivy League and two-time All-American for the Lions who compiled 20 victories through three competition seasons. He was unanimously voted Team MVP and Team Most Improved Player as a first-year, becoming the first Lion in the history of the program to win both awards in the same season. The three-year captain was also a finalist for Men’s Rookie of the Year at the 2019 Varsity C Celebration, and was the squash program’s first European recruit.

Prior to Columbia, Wyatt was a captain for England’s U19 World Junior Squash Championship Team. He also captained the Whitgift squash team and was the former No. 1-ranked squash player in England.

Aside from his athletic experience, Wyatt interned at vVARDIS this past summer, which is a Swiss life-science and health-tech startup in New York. Wyatt had the opportunity to intern at Cube Partnerships in Manchester, U.K., as well as CEO.works in London.

A native of London, Wyatt now resides in Manhattan.
