Ali Rubnitz

Ali Rubnitz is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Columbia women's soccer program in 2019 after serving the previous two years as an assistant coach at Seton Hall.

Rubnitz also currently serves the executive director of Gotham Girls FC in New York City.

At Seton Hall, Rubnitz served as recruiting coordinator and was responsible for team, functional and individual film breakdown and analysis. Prior to her time at Seton Hall, Rubnitz spent two seasons as assistant coach at Monmouth, where she helped lead the Hawks to back-to-back Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) regular season championships in 2015 and 2016 after posting a combined 18-1-1 record in conference play. Monmouth posted an overall record of 27-7-4 during her two seasons in West Long Branch, and reached the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in program history after winning the MAAC Championship this in 2016.
 
The Los Gatos, California native was a four-year starter at Northwestern, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication studies and psychology with a minor in business administration. She was the 2009 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner, Team Defensive MVP and a four-time member of the Big Ten All-Academic Team. She was also the recipient of the James J. Progar Athletic Scholarship (for inspiration, leadership and allegiance to NU) and the Iron Cat Award, given to superior fitness and training amongst NU athletes.
 
Following her accomplished career with the Wildcats, Rubnitz was a starting player and assistant coach for Durham University in the United Kingdom. Her team was the 2015 British Universities & Colleges Sport National Champions, and was the runner-up in the Futsal National Championship. Meanwhile, Rubnitz was earning her master's degree in business management with a focus in entrepreneurship.
 
Rubnitz holds the following licenses – USSF National C (2017), USSF National D License (March 2014) and USSF National E License (June 2013).
