Spring 2010: Went 3-14 in singles playing mostly in the Nos. 5 and 6 spots … had singles wins over opponents from Fairleigh Dickinson, NJIT and Fordham … had doubles wins over duos from Stony Brook, Fairleigh Dickinson and George Washington.
At Watchung Hills: Earned four varsity letters in tennis … two-time team captain … county and conference champion in 2008 … named Courier News Tennis Player of the Year in 2008 … has earned all-state, all-conference and all-area honors … advanced to the New Jersey state quarterfinals in 2008 … county finalist in 2007 … helped lead team to conference championship in 2008 … member of a two-time zone championship team.
Personal: Born 10/16/91 … daughter of Marina and Sergey Shapoval … was born in the Ukraine … brother, Aleksey, played tennis at Emory … plans to major in biology and go into medicine.
