At Columbia: Injury-riddled sophomore season cut short after Wilkes Open … had three wins, including two pins, at East Stroudsburg for a sixth-place finish ... earned NCAA trip in his first season at Columbia, 2003-04, after finishing third at 133 in EIWA Championships ... was only 8-6 during the regular season, but caught fire in consolation round of the Easterns ... reeled off four consecutive one-sided decisions: 9-3 over Rich Gebauer of F&M, 8-0 over Dan Appello of Brown; 11-0 to shock fifth-seeded Matt Eveleth of Penn; and 11-2 against third-seeded Bernard Gardner of Army for third place ... streak earned him a wild card selection to the NCAAs ... finished the season 12-9 overall, 6-4 in dual meets ... 2-2 in Ivy League; second team All-Ivy League ... sixth in Wilkes Open ... especially tough on top ... great scrambling ability ... one of the Lions' leaders.
