
Volleyball Falls To Yale

The first game started out close with the Lions leading 19-18, but Yale went on a six point run to take the lead and finished the game winning 30-23. Yale faltered in the second game, however and Columbia capitalized, taking a 19-15 lead and finishing strong to take the match 30-25.
The Bulldogs, however, took control over the match at the beginning of the third game, amassing an 8-0 lead. The Lions could not overcome the deficit, losing 30-19. In the fourth game, Yale found its groove, obtaining most of its points off the serve. The Bulldogs' Anne Foster-Keddie served for 10 of the team's 30 points. Yale came away with the win 30-21.
Scoring a double-double along with Viti was sophomore Cassie Ligh. Ligh shone on both offense and defense, having 19 kills and 25 digs. Fellow sophomore Shannon Hunzicker led the match with 54 assists.
The Lions' next opponent is Brown. They will take on the Bears on Saturday, October 7th at 4 p.m. in Levien Gymnasium.
