Columbia lost to hot-hitting Princeton, 3-0, 30-24, 30-28, 30-18, in Ivy League volleyball action on Friday evening.
With the loss, the Lions fell to 7-16, 1-12 Ivy League, while Princeton improved to 18-2, 8-2 Ivy League.
Princeton never trailed in teh 30-24 victory in game one, hitting .277 to the Lions .182, but game two was a tightly-contested battle until the last point.
Alex Marchyshyn gave the Lions a 14-13 lead after a service ace and the lions continued to keep the score close with efforts from senior attacker Nikki Learned, but
failed to keep up with Princeton's defense, as Columbia hit .070 fior the game.
Princeton's Bailey Robinson took control in game three with a couple of kills and 14 assists in game three. Parker Henritze had four of her 18 kills in the final game.
Senior Nikki Learned celebrated senior day a night early, and led the Lions with seven kills and three block assists.
