It was the Lions' first win at their new venue, as they improve to 3-5 on the season.
Cosan scored one of her own just five minutes later when she tipped in Liz Reeve's pass into the left corner of the cage.
Sophomore Megan Davidson scored just before the end of the half when she rocketed a shot from the right side of the circle to the left corner of the net.
Davidson assisted the last goal of the game when she flicked a pass to a charging Ramie Merrill who finished to center of the goal.
Lafayette had their fair share of chances, leading the Lions in corners 10-2 and with an 18-10 shot advantage.
Gena Miller made four saves in goal for the Lions, while the Lions' defense kept Lafayette from presenting too many shots on goal.
The Lions return to action on Sunday, October 1, at Fairfield.
