NEW YORK, N.Y. ? After a three-match winning streak in which the Lions didn't drop a game, the Columbia volleyball squad lost it's Ivy League opener to defending Ivy League champions Cornell 3-0.
Columbia's record dropped to .500 at 5-5 overall and 0-1 in the Ivy League by losing the games 30-16, 30-20, and 30-26. Cassie Ligh led the team with 11 kills while hitting .185. Blakely Low had 28 assists and Ashley Kim added 13 digs.
The Lions face Yale and Brown next weekend, playing the Bulldogs on Friday, October 6th at 7 p.m. and the Bears on Saturday, October 7th at 4 p.m.
