The Columbia's men's tennis team will add two recruits to the team in the fall.
Kevin Kung, CC, Hong Kong (Hong Kong International School)
Sho Matsumoto, CC, Cos Cob, Conn. (Greenwich)
"There is an additional young man, not listed above, who we are hoping to get as a transfer student that could make a significant immediate impact," said Head Coach Bid Goswami. "As for the class of 2011, Kevin Kung is the number one junior from Hong Kong who made his country's Davis Cup team this year. He has a big lefty serve and will help us in singles and doubles right away, while Sho Matsumoto is ranked among the top five Juniors in the east and top 125 in the country in 18s singles. Sho is a very good player who will add depth to the team."
"With Numbers 1, 2 and 3, 6 returning, and with these new players coming in, we should have as good a team if not better. I am very optimistic."
