Lions Set to Square Off with Brown on Football's Senior Day

NEW YORK – In the final football game of the season, Columbia will look to finish strong as the Lions will take on Brown on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 12:30 p.m. on Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium.  Prior to kickoff, Columbia's 26 seniors in the Class of 2010 will be honored.  Tickets are available by calling 888-LIONS-11 or on the day of the game at Wien Stadium.

CAN YOU HEAR ME?
Every Columbia game can be heard on gocolumbialions.com with Jerry Recco (play-by-play) and Jake Novak (color) calling the action.  Student radio can be found on WKCR 89.9 FM with Destin Jenkins and Tom DiBenedetto.

THE SERIES
This is the 74th meeting between Columbia and Brown in a series dating back to 1902.  Brown has won the last two games vs. the Lions in 2007 and 2008 – a road and home victory.   The Lions' last home win vs. the Bears was in 1996 (31-27).

ROAD TESTED
The Lions' win over Cornell gave Columbia its first winning road record since 1996 and the first back-to-back wins over an Ivy League opponent since 2000-01.

SENIOR SALUTE
Today marks the final collegiate contest for 26 Columbia seniors.  This is the largest Columbia Football graduating class in recent years.

RETURN OF THE QB
M.A. Olawale made an immediate impact against the Big Red, returning to the field after missing two games due to injury. Olawale entered the game with nine minutes left in the third quarter and Columbia trailing by four (20-16). He scored the Lions' go-ahead touchdown late in the third quarter and the insurance score late in the fourth, rushing for 95 yards, 74 of which came in the fourth quarter alone, and passing for 68 yards.  His 81.8 pass completion percentage vs. the Big Red is the best by an Ivy League QB this season.

ALL-TIME SACK LEADER
Lou Miller, Columbia's all-time leader in sacks, currently leads the Ivy League and ranks 17th in the Football Championship Subdivision with .78 sacks per game. His 2.5 sacks vs. Penn are an Ivy League single-game best this season.
