
Powell?s Run at NCAA Championships Comes to Close

NEW YORK - Adam Powell finished competition at the NCAA National Swimming Championships Friday in Columbus, Ohio. The junior competed in the preliminaries of the 50 free.
Powell, the Ivy League champion in the 50 and 100 freestyle events, qualified for the NCAA championships with his school-record time of 19.72. In the preliminaries this morning, Powell swam 19.91, which was good for 34th overall, out of the field of 52. The top eight make the finals, with the next eight taking part in a bonus final.
