
Softball Set For 10 Games At 2012 Rebel Spring Games

The Lions (1-6) are coming off a rough three-game series at Towson from this past weekend and will look to right the ship with 10 games this week, including seven against teams that are currently below .500.
Columbia opens play in the Rebel Spring Games on Monday against Fairfield (4-5) at 9 a.m. at Fortune Road Athletic Complex Field 2. The Lions will be the designated home team in the game. At 1 p.m., Columbia will move over to Field 1 at the complex to take on Wagner (1-9). The Lions are the away team in that game.
On Tuesday, Columbia will play a pair of games at Oren Brown Park, first facing Utah Valley (10-4-1) at 1 p.m. at Field 3. The Lions are the home team in this game. At 3 p.m., Columbia will play as the away team against Bucknell (2-7) on Field 1.
The Lions' stretch of seven games in four days will end on Wednesday as they do not have any games scheduled for that day.
Columbia will be back at Fortune Road Athletics Complex on Thursday, playing Youngstown State (5-2) at 11 a.m. and Nebraska-Omaha (4-6) at 1 p.m. Both games are at Field 1 and the Lions will be home against the Penguins and away against the Mavericks.
On Friday, the Lions will be the visiting team against Houston Baptist (7-11) at 9 a.m. at Fortune Road Athletics Complex Field 2. They move to Field 3 at 11 a.m. to square off as the home team against Green Bay (1-5).
Columbia will conclude its play in the 2012 Rebel Spring Games on Saturday at Osceola County Softball Complex Field 1. The Lions are the visiting team against Fairleigh Dickinson (7-1) at 9 a.m. and the home team against Lafayette (0-3) at 11 a.m.
