COLUMBIA'S STATUS
The Lions are coming off a landmark victory over Princeton, the first in program history, on Oct. 3. Despite a non-conference loss to Hofstra on Oct. 5, Columbia is still in good position in the Ivy League standings at 2-1, just a game behind Cornell at 3-0.

Junior Christina Freibott set a pair of records in the win over the Tigers. Her assist in the second minute made her Columbia's all-time leader in that category and when she set up Katie Ruesterholz' game-winner in the 69th minute, Freibott became the single-season record holder.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Towson has dropped three-straight and has been held scoreless during that stretch.

The Tigers are coming off an 8-0 defeat to James Madison where they were outshot 36-1.

SCOUTING THE MINUTEWOMEN
UMass is riding a three-game winning streak, including a pair of conference wins over Lock Haven and St. Francis (Pa.).

The Minutewomen have been stingy defensively, allowing just 1.67 goals per game. After a slow start, the offense is starting to now come around as UMass has scored three or more goals during its current run.

FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING
Columbia will face both Towson and UMass for the first time in program history this weekend. It will mark the second and third times this season the Lions have squared off against a new opponent after they faced Connecticut on Sep. 7.

MAKING A STATEMENT
Columbia defeated Princeton for the first time in program history with its thrilling 3-2 victory on Oct. 3. Katie Ruesterholz netted the game-winner with just 75 seconds remaining to knock off the nine-time defending Ivy League champs.

TOP OF THE CHARTS
In Columbia's win over Princeton, Christina Freibott set a pair of program assist records with her two-dime performance. Her feed on Katie Ruesterholz' goal in the second minute marked her 22nd career assist, breaking the old mark held by Dana Zullo '03 and Christine Buszczak '10. Freibott also dished out her 11th helper of the year on the game-winner late int he second half to establish a new single-season record, previously owned by Buszczak.

DO YOU NEED ASSISTANCE?
Freibott's 14 assists lead the Ivy League and her 1.40 average per game put her first in the nation. Freibott has tied the school's single-game record with three dimes twice this season and three times in her career. Freibott is currently riding a four-game point scoring streak and has only been held off the scoresheet twice in 10 games this season.

SKUDALSKI 'SAVES' THE DAY
Senior back Lauren Skudalski's six defensive saves this season are tied for the national lead. Skudalski posted stops in four-straight games from Sep. 24-Oct. 3. For her career, she has 19, which is a program record, dating back to 2002.

EVERYONE PUTS THE LIONS IN A CORNER
Columbia's 9.40 penalty corners per game lead the Ivy League and rank second in the NCAA. Of the Lions'  29 goals this season, 15 have come of set pieces.
