Pair of Meets on Deck for Track & Field

NEW YORK - Two meets are on deck this weekend for the Columbia Track & Field teams, when the Lions head to the Penn State National, and take part in the Ramapo Indoor Select.
The Penn State National will take place on Friday and Saturday in State College, Pennsylvania, with 38 teams taking part in the meet at the Ashenfelter III Indoor Track. The Ramapo Indoor Select is hosted uptown at the NYC Armory on Saturday, with the event getting under way at 9 am.
At Penn State, the men's team will see Corey Hammond run the 400m dash while Robert Napolitano, Spencer Haik and Alek Sauer take part in the 800m run before the quartet teams up in the Distance Medley. Benjamin Ritz, Marc Violone and Dustin Wilson will additionally run in the 3K at the meet.
On the women's side, returning All-Ivy Leaguer Brittney Wade will take off in the 800m run, with a trio of Henna Rustami, Natalie Tanner and Leila Mantilla trying out the 3K.
Ramapo will see a pack of Lions compete at the Armory, with a total of eight events for the men and 12 events for the women having Columbia competitors.
