Archery Sweeps Field At Valentine's Shoot

Storrs, Conn. – The Columbia archery team celebrated the Valentine's holiday weekend doing what they love on Saturday, Feb. 13, competing in the Valentine's Shoot hosted by UCONN in Storrs, Connecticut.
The Lions dominated the recurve and the compound as Joy Chang led all archers in the recurve with a score of 544 score, along with Judy Zhou in the compound at 562, for the second-straight season.
Columbia placed in the top-four spots in the recurve as Bianca Gotuaco posted a runner-up score of 535, followed by Tiffany Kim in third place with 528 and Aileen Yu in fourth place at 527.
Katherine Alfaro tallied a second-place score of 553 in the compound, edging Julie Hoffmann who finished with a third-place score of 551. Elizabeth Gunawan followed with a fourth-place total of 549.
Up next, the Lions will trek to Lancaster, Pennsylvanina on Saturday, Feb. 20 to compete in the Pennsylvania State Indoors Tournament.
