Lions Ready For The 2016 U.S. Swimming Olympic Trials

NEW YORK - With a trip to Rio for the 2016 Olympic Games on the line, a few Columbia swimmers will compete at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials on Sunday, June 26th through Sunday, July 3rd in Omaha, Nebraska. This event serves as the only selection meet for the U.S. Olympic Swim Team before competition begins at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Boasting the nation's second-fastest time in the 100 breaststroke at 1:05.64, Katie Meili '13CC shows tremendous promise in her ability to punch her ticket to the Olympic games. Meili has put together a sensational resume heading into the trails, including a gold medal in the 100 breast at the 2015 Pan American Games and a selection to the U.S. National Swimming National Team.
Rising sophomore Jessica Antiles will also represent Columbia while competing in the 400 individual medley. In her just her rookie season, she was tremendous for the Lions in the I.M. events during the dual-meet season, collecting 10 total victories on the year.
On the men's side, rising junior Jae Park will compete in the 200 I.M. After an impressive sophomore campaign, Park garnered three crowns in the event during the dual-meet season.
The Trials will be shown exclusively across NBC networks and mobile platforms. Prelims will be LIVE daily at 11 a.m. Eastern Time on the NBC Sports app.
NBC Sports will live stream the 2016 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials beginning on June 26th and continuing through July 3rd. NBC's comprehensive live streaming from the Trials will include all of the prelims and finals sessions.
