NEW YORK—The following items are pertinent to Columbia Football's final non-conference game of the 2018 season on Saturday against Marist:
- Saturday's game marks Columbia's eighth annual Northern Manhattan Neighbors Appreciation Day. As part of this promotion all residents of the Northern Manhattan communities of Inwood and Washington Heights are invited to attend this Columbia Football game as our special guests! Residents from Northern Manhattan will receive complimentary game tickets by presenting proof of address at the entrance to Lawrence A. Wien Stadium beginning at 11 a.m. Residents of this area can also redeem their tickets by calling the ticket office at 888-LIONS-11. Our neighbors and their families are invited to experience a fun-filled day which includes special promotions such as: Free hot dogs and beverages in our Pre-game Picnic Area; Free posters, schedule cards and game programs; Photo opportunities with our mascot, Roar-ee the Lion; Family fun inflatables will also be available for kids of all ages.
- Former Columbia Football player Ted Gregory '74CC will serve as the Honorary Captain at the pre-game coin toss. A Columbia Athletics Hall of Fame member (2012 inductee), former Lions football player, member of the Columbia football broadcast team and current.Columbia University Director of Diversity Initiatives and Talent Rentention. As a Columbia football player, Gregory was one of the most feared shutdown cornerbacks in the Ivy League and emerged as a true team leader. For his career, Gregory picked off nine passes, averaging nearly 20 yards on each return, and was known as an explosive kick returner. The Middletown, Ohio native was a two-time first team All-Ivy League honoree and earned All-America honorable mention status in both 1972 and 1973. A co-captain of the 1973 squad, Gregory was selected to the All-Ivy League's Silver Anniversary Team, which tabbed the best players in the conference from 1954-79. In 1999, he was named to the Columbia All-Century Team. This link contains the story on Ted Gregory upon his induction into the Columbia Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.
- The Columbia Football team will depart from its locker room to the field at 12:59 p.m. ET. Fans are encouraged to line the LIONSWALK (walkway) to the field.
- Tara Burns will sing Saturday's National Anthem.
- Today's game will be streamed live on ESPN+ at this link. It is the first time Columbia Football will appear on ESPN+ as per the Ivy League contract. For more information on ESPN+ broadcasts, a Frequently Asked Questions is available. It will also be simulcast on the Columbia Radio Network.
