Columbia will take on the Crimson on Friday afternoon on ESPN+
NEW YORK — In its fourth-straight road meet, the Columbia men's swimming and diving program continues Ivy League action at Harvard this Friday, Nov. 16. The meet is set to begin at 3 p.m. ET inside Blodgett Pool.
Fans can watch the meet live as it unfolds on ESPN+.
The Lions are searching for their first conference victory this season, entering Friday's matchup with a 1-2 overall record. Despite close competition, Columbia has yet to take down an Ivy League foe after facing Penn and Yale thus far. In its most recent outing, Columbia traveled to Yale last Saturday, with a 168-132 result.
On the diving side, sophomore Jonathan Suckow has been exceptional, sweeping both boards in all three meets this season. Junior Nian-Guo has been a standout off the blocks, registering three-straight victories in the 200-yard freestyle.
SCOUTING HARVARD
The defending Ivy League champion, Harvard comes into Friday's meet with a 3-0 record, with a 2-0 mark in league meets. The Crimson picked up wins over Dartmouth (210-83) and Cornell (194-101) in its season-opening tri meet on Nov. 9.
Columbia has not earned a victory in the series since 2005 when the Lions picked up a 160.5-139.5 triumph at Uris Natatorium.
ON DECK
The Lions will head to Providence, Rhode Island, in two weeks for the Bruno Invitational hosted by Brown. The midseason meet will run from Nov. 30-Dec. 2 at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center with a championship format.
