
Men Finish Fourth, Women Fifth at Ivy Scrimmages

The squash preseason is complete after Ivy Scrimmages last weekend
NEW HAVEN, CONN.- The men's and women's squash programs competed in New Haven this weekend for the Ivy Scrimmage preseason tournament. The tournament consisted of a regular and consolidation bracket.
The women fell to Penn in the first round of the tournament 7-2, but moved to the second bracket for the remaining matches. In the women's second match, the Lions took home a win over the Bears 6-3. In the final round of competition for the women, they faced Cornell and came out with a win over the Big Red 5-4. Overall, the women's squad finished sixth overall.
The men started competition with a win over Cornell in the first round 6-3, however fell to Penn in the quarter finals. During Sunday competition, the men's squad in the semifinals fell to Yale, claiming the fourth spot in the field.
The squash programs look towards regular season competition after this weekend's tournament. The Lions head to Williamstown, Massachusetts for a meet against Williams College on November 30 at 5:00 p.m.
