Women's Rowing Debuts Saturday at Governor's Cup

FELLSMERE, Fla. — The Columbia women's rowing team begins the 2018 spring season on Saturday competing in Governor's Cup. The regatta at Canal 54 includes crews from Columbia, Barry and host Florida Tech.

Columbia's Varsity 8+ debuts at 9:15 a.m. Six seniors are in the boat that includes senior coxswain Rosie Fatt, sophomore Laurel Quinones, sophomore Sabina Maurer, junior Maya Hartleben, senior Charlotte Buck, senior Hannah Juge, senior Maddie Lawn, senior Liza Ray and senior Emily Evans. They will race in the Class of 2013.
The regatta also features three Varsity 4+ races. Columbia will split its second Varsity 8 into two boats to race against FIT and Barry in the latter two (9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.). Two more Columbia boats will go against one another in the first race of the day at 9 a.m.
