Friday's Columbia Softball Game Cancelled

WASHINGTON — The Columbia softball game scheduled for Friday afternoon against UMBC has been cancelled due to high winds in the Washington, D.C. area. The Lions are in the nation's capital all weekend to compete at the District Classic, hosted by Georgetown.

Friday's game was originally scheduled for 10 a.m., but tournament officials announced on Thursday that they would delay the start until 12:30 p.m., due to low wind chills. All of Friday's action at the District Classic was then cancelled Friday morning with wind gusts reaching as high of 70 miles per hour.
