NEW YORK – The Columbia women's soccer team welcomes Hofstra to Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium on Thursday, before heading to No. 10 Georgetown on Sunday.
Â
Thursday's match can be seen live on
ESPN+, while Georgetown will also
broadcast the Sunday contest. The Lions sit at 3-2-1 in 2018, after most recently dropping a 2-1 match to Rider at home on Sunday.
Â
LAST TIME OUT
A second half comeback fell short, as Rider escaped with a 2-1 victory over Columbia on Sunday. The Broncs connected on a penalty kick goal and a free kick from just outside the box to seal the victory.
Â
Jordyn Geller got the Lions on the board in the 69th minute, connecting on a cross from
Mallaika Tomar for her second goal of the season. Geller had another look from inside the box that sailed just wide right of the post with eight minutes on the clock, and another chance in the final minute that she was unable to connect on.
