Lions to Compete at ITA All-American, Northwestern Invite

Four Lions—Akanksha Bhan, Paulina Ferrari, Jennifer Kerr and Christie Wan—selected to competed at the ITA All-American event in Tulsa, Okla. this weekend.
Bhan, Kerr and Wan were selected to compete in the Pre-Qualifying Singles bracket on Saturday and Sunday, while Bhan and Ferrari and Wan and Kerr will compete in Qualifying Doubles bracket on Monday. Kerr enters preseason as the No. 116 ranked player in singles.
Selections are posted at this link. More information and brackets will be posted at a later date.
The Northwestern Invitational will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Northwestern .The eight players include sophomore Yekaterina Alferova, first-year Shivani Amineni, first-year Julia Haynes, junior Sarah Rahman, senior Renee Ren, sophomore Melissa Sakar, sophomore Caitie Sullivan, and first-year Michelle Xu. Brackets will be posted at a later date. Participating teams include: Northwestern, Miami (Ohio), James Madison, Purdue, Penn State, Princeton, Michigan State, Columbia, Kentucky, UIC, Lewis, Chicago State, Eastern Illinois, and Marquette.
