Lions Continue Homestand Friday vs. Crimson

Men's swimming and diving wraps up a three-meet home stretch Friday, hosting Harvard at 5 p.m. inside Percy Uris Natatorium
NEW YORK — Columbia men's swimming and diving is set to continue Ivy League action this Friday, facing off against defending conference champion Harvard at Percy Uris Natatorium. The meet will kick off at 5 p.m. ET.
As with all home meets, admission is free to all fans. Live results for the meet will be available via Meet Mobile.
The Lions are undefeated at 3-0 on the year, including a 2-0 mark in Ivy duals after defeating Penn and Yale the past two weekends. Last Saturday saw Columbia take down Yale, 172-128, after winning 11-of-16 events.
Across six different individual events, six Lions have remained undefeated including first-year Ray Yang (200 butterfly), senior Nian-Guo Liu (200 freestyle), junior Albert Gwo (50 free), sophomore Jonas Kistorp (100 fly), junior Baptiste Leger (200 backstroke) and senior Cole Stevens (100 back).
On the diving side, first-year Ben Blizard paced the Lions against Yale, posting a silver-worthy finish on 1-meter with a score of 291.68, while placing third on 3-meter (307.43) ahead of teammate Shinya Kondo who finished fourth in the event at 293.86.
SCOUTING HARVARD
The Crimson visit New York City at 2-2 (2-0 Ivy), coming off a tri-meet sweep against Dartmouth and Cornell in Hanover, New Hampshire. In the meet, Harvard set three pool records including the 200 medley relay (1:30.47), the 200 back (Will Grant, 1:46.48) and the 100 fly (Umitcan Gures, 48.17).
ON DECK
The Lions will wrap up the 2019 at the Princeton's Big Al Invitation, Dec. 6-8. The three-day meet will use a championship format, with preliminary sessions beginning at 10 a.m. each day and finals starting at 6 p.m.
