Jennifer Wang in 13th Place After Day One at FAU Winter WarmUp

Wang cards 4-over-par 76; Amy Ding and Katie Lee in 23rd place; Lions finish day one of competition in sixth place.

BOCA RATON, Fla.—First-year Jennifer Wang led the Columbia women's golf team after carding a four-over-par 76 and is currently in 13th place after round one of the Florida Atlantic Winter WarmUp Sunday at the Osprey Point Golf Club. Columbia enters Monday's final round in sixth place in the team competition after shooting a 29-over-par 317. Columbia will tee off the final round at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow morning.
 
Wang carded two birdies and 11 pars in completing her 76. She ranks fifth in the field in par-4 scoring at 4.00.
 
Senior Amy Ding and first-year Katie Lee are both currently in 23rd place after carding identical eight over par 78s. Ding finished with 10 pars on the day, while Lee tallied 11 pars. First-year Alexis Florio is in 30th place after carding a nine-over-par 81 and junior Emily Chu is in 44th place at 15-over-par 87.
 
Seven teams are competing in the event including Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Detroit, host Florida Atlantic, Oakland and Tennessee. The Osprey Point Golf Club plays to 6,062 yards with a par of 72. More detailed information on the course is available at this link.
 
No. 37 ranked Tennessee leads the team competition after shooting a 12-under-par 276. After the first round, the Volunteers have the top four individual finishers led by Marian Smith, who shot a five-under-par 67.
 
The invitational marks Columbia's first competition of the spring season.
