Jennifer Wang Finishes 12th at FAU Winter WarmUp

First-year Wang plays consistent golf with 8-over-par 76-76-152; Senior Amy Ding moves up five spots to 18th place; Lions conclude weekend in fifth place.

BOCA RATON, Fla.—First-year Jennifer Wang concluded the two-day, two-round Florida Atlantic Winter WarmUp in 12th place after finishing with an eight-over-par 76-76-152 Monday at the Osprey Point Golf Club. As a team, Columbia moved from sixth place to fifth place in the team competition as it concluded the invitational with a 44-over-par 317-303-620. The Lions moved past Ivy League rival Dartmouth on Monday.
 
Wang played consistent golf as she carded three birdies and 23 pars on the weekend. On Sunday, she parlayed two birdies and 11 pars into a 76 and on Monday, she fired one birdie and 12 pars. She concluded the weekend ranked No. 5 in the field in par-4 scoring (4.00).
 
On Monday, senior Amy Ding moved up five spots on the leaderboard as she finished in 18th place with a 12-over-par 80-76-156. Ding fired two birdies in Monday's final round.
 
First-year Alexis Florio concluded the tournament in 22nd place with a 13-over-par 81-76-157. She moved up eight spots on Monday after totaling four birdies on holes 7, 10, 12 and 14.
 
Also scoring for Columbia were sophomore Katie Lee, who finished in 34th place with a 17-over-par 80-81-161 and junior Emily Chu, who tied for 38th place with an 18-over-par 87-75-162. Chu moved up the leaderboard on Monday after firing Columbia's team-best round of 75.
 
No. 37 ranked Tennessee won the team competition after totaling a 17-under-par 276-283-559. Tennessee had the top three individual finishers led by champion Mariah Smith, who shot a seven-under-par 67-70-137.
 
Seven teams competed in the event including Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Detroit, host Florida Atlantic, Oakland and Tennessee. The Osprey Point Golf Club plays to 6,062 yards with a par of 72. More detailed information on the course is available at this link.
 
The invitational marks Columbia's first competition of the spring season. Columbia is back in action on March 16-17 at the Wofford Low Country Intercollegiate at Hilton Head, S.C.
