Penn (10-4, 4-2 Ivy League) drew first blood, putting the first point on the board, but the Lions responded with back-to-back goals to take a 2-1 advantage at the 24:42 mark in the first half. The Quakers capitalized on draw controls, using an 11-0 run to quiet Columbia's offense. Â
Columbia (4-10, 1-5 Ivy) opened up the second-half scoring as Ewertsen completed her hat trick with a free position goal with just over 29 minutes to play. Penn would extend its lead by four more before Quinn sent in her first score of the evening with just over 11 minutes remaining. Quinn would score once more and Manville recorded the final goal of the game off a dime from sophomore attacker
Alexandria Absey.
