LEONIA, N.J. – As they have done all season long, the No. 3 Columbia lightweight rowing varsity eight bounced back after a defeat with a victory over Dartmouth for the Subin Cup. The Lions and Big Green competed in two races with Columbia's second, third and fourth varsity crews going up against Dartmouth's second varsity.
In the varsity eight, Columbia earned an open-water triumph to retain the Subin Cup. The Lions second and third varsity eight boats turned in times of 5:51.51 and 6:01.07, finishing in front of the Big Green's second varsity.
Columbia has next weekend off before racing against Drexel and Delaware at Overpeck Park, Saturday, May 4.
