LEONIA, N.J. - The Columbia lightweight rowing varsity eight topped Delaware and Drexel's heavyweights in its final regular season regatta of the season. The Lions are back in the water on Sunday, May 19 when they compete at EARC Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Columbia finished the day with a seven-second margin over Delaware, with Drexel pulling in third. It was also a somewhat comfortable victory fo the second varsity eight, who pulled in at 6:02.65. The Dragons took second in that event, followed by the Blue Hens.

In the third varsity eight, Columbia turned in a time of 6:10.69, which was just under four seconds faster from Drexel's crew. 

The Dragons opened the day with wins in the varsity four and fourth varsity eight. The fourth varsity eight race was the closest of the day with the Dragons edging the Lions by 0.81 seconds. Drexel's varsity four turned in an open-water triumph with Columbia placing second.
