Men's Golf Travels to Cornell Invitational This Weekend

Columbia men's golf to compete at Cornell Invitational for fourth consecutive year; Lions enter weekend coming off a successful start to the 2019-20 season.
ITHACA, N.Y.—For the fourth consecutive season, the Columbia men's golf team will travel to Ithaca to compete in the annual Cornell Invitational this weekend hosted at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. The teams will go through practice rounds on Friday, play 36 holes with a shotgun start on Saturday and complete the final 18 holes with tee times on Sunday.

Four Ivy League teams and 12 total teams will compete in the event including Binghamton, Brown, Bucknell, Canisius, Colgate, Columbia, host Cornell, Dartmouth, Penn, St. Bonaventure, Saint Joseph's, Siena and Temple.
The Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Cornell University plays to 6,904 yards with a par of 71 from the Big Red tees. It has a rating of 73.1 and a slope of 137. More information on the course is available at this link.
The invitational is Columbia's third of the fall season as the Lions completed a successful weekend at both the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate and the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational last weekend. First-year Nathan Han placed seventh at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial at Colgate, while junior Dan Terrell (seventh place) and senior Cullen Chung (12th place) led the Lions at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate in Connecticut.
As a team, Columbia placed fifth at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invite and second at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial.
