
Lions Begin 2020 With Great Success

The No. 8 Women and No. 10 Men defeat No. 12 and No. 16 Brown Bears, both by 7-2 scores.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Columbia Lions men's and women's squash programs began the new year off with success. Columbia's women's team defeated No. 12 Brown, 7-2. The men's team dominated No. 16 Brown, 7-2
The No. 8 Lions women's team had great success this weekend. On Saturday, Julia Masch competed against Katherine Dowling in a three-game match. Masch scored eleven points each game, solidifying her match point. Jane Pincus went up against Esha Lakhotia winning the match games by eleven. Jui Kalgutkar Battled against Danielle Benstock playing a five game match series. Kalgutkar successfully defended the match point winning, 3-2. Habiba Mohamed had a clean match game series against Alexa Jacobs playing three games and winning each game by eleven.
For the No. 10 men, Andrew Jung rallied through five match games against Raghav Pemmireddy. The first game came smoothly, scoring 11-5, then 11-9, and 11-8. He ended the last two game in dominating fashion winning 3-2. Callan Hall had a clean sweep against Grant Sterman for three games. James Wyatt played against Maximo Moyer winning 3-1.
