Columbia sits in fourth place with 100 points at the end of night one at the 2020 Ivy League Championships
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — With a pair of fifth-place performances in the opening relays, the Columbia women's swimming and diving team sits in fourth place with 100 points at the end of night one at the 2020 Ivy League Championships.
"The opening relays were a solid start to the championship," said Columbia head coach Diana Caskey. "Our relay take-offs were conservative as last years' first night relay DQ was on our minds. Lots of excellent relay splits are a harbinger of great individual swims to come!"
In the 200-yard medley relay, Columbia used the squad of Julia Samson (25.42), Helen Wojdylo (27.46), Karen Liu (24.79) and Audrey Richter (22.69) to record a fifth-place time of 1:40.31. The 800 freestyle relay saw the team of Wojdylo (1:47.22), Olivia Jubin (1:46.73), Jessica He (1:51.53) and Mary Pruden (1:50.03) post a 7:15.51 for a matching fifth-place finish.
