Sophie Kloppenburg, Bingxiang Qin earn victories for the Lions
Women's Highlights
The women were led by a standout weekend from Sophie Kloppenburg, who captured first place in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.80 and added a fourth-place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:53.79). Columbia also produced a strong relay effort in the 400 freestyle relay, where the quartet of Kloppenburg, Sammy Segerson, Reese Heidenreich, and Olivia Kim finished third overall in 3:38.44.
Sammy Segerson contributed a fifth-place finish in the 500 freestyle (5:06.86), while Olivia Kim added depth across the freestyle events, competing in both the 200 and 500 free. Reese Heidenreich scored points in multiple races, including the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. Columbia rounded out the meet with solid performances in the distance events, placing multiple swimmers inside the top group of the 1650 freestyle.
Men's Highlights
On the men's side, Bingxiang Qin headlined the weekend with a victory in the 400 IM, touching first in 3:58.90. Ryan Pak followed with a runner-up finish in the 100 breaststroke (55.69) and added a top-four result in the 200 IM, contributing valuable points in the middle of the meet.
The Lions also found success in the sprint and relay events. Michael Zhang placed eighth in the 50 freestyle and swam the opening leg of the 400 freestyle relay, while Dylan Dettloff added a strong showing in the 200 freestyle. The 400 freestyle relay team of Zhang, Qin, Dettloff, and Pak closed the meet with a second-place finish in 3:07.94, capping a productive weekend of racing.
Diving
The divers competed at the Rutgers Platform Invitational this weekend, and Will Cooley shined. He placed third with a score of 340.10, leading the way. In addition, Mackenzie Lu earned his first career NCAA Zone qualifying score of 305.15, which was good for fifth place.

The Lions will now begin preparations for the Ivy League Championships. The women's championships will begin on February 18 at Brown followed by the men's championships on February 25 in Princeton.
