Lions Head to Princeton for Dual Finale

The Columbia men's swimming and diving team will travel to Princeton for a Saturday matchup at 1 p.m. ET
NEW YORK — The Columbia men's swimming and diving team will conclude its dual meet schedule on Saturday, Feb. 8, traveling to face Princeton at 1 p.m. ET.

The Lions are coming off a 196-102 Senior Day victory over Dartmouth last Saturday, advancing Columbia to a 5-3 overall record and 4-2 Ivy League record. Against the Big Green, Columbia notched victories from a plethora of Lions including a sweep of the diving events from first-year Ben Blizard. Senior Cole Stevens in the 100 backstroke (49.21), first year Thomas Shepanzyk in the 100 breaststroke (57.69) and 100 freestyle (46.26), junior Albert Gwo in the 50 free (19.96), Joey Licht in the 200 back (1:52.50), Skimmons in the 200 breast (2:08.27), senior Zac Pear in the 100 butterfly (50.37) and Hayden Liu in the 200 IM (1:51.52), plus winning both relay events.
SCOUTING PRINCETON
The Tigers enter Saturday's matchup with a 7-2 overall record, including a 5-1 mark in Ivy duals. Princeton is coming off its annual HYP meet, defeating Yale, 182-171, while falling to Harvard, 192-161. Aside from Harvard, the only team to have defeating Princeton was Navy. 171-129, on Jan. 4.
Princeton has been the victor in back-to-back meets in the series, having won last year's outing, 161.5-138.5 in New York.
ON DECK
The Lions will begin prep for the upcoming Ivy League Championships, hosted by Harvard from Feb. 26-29.
