Han, Women's Golf Team Earn Terminello Awards

First-year men's golfer Nathan Han, entire Lions' women's team earn 2020 William Terminello Golf Awards.
NEW YORK—First-year men's golfer Nathan Han and the entire 2019-20 Columbia Women's Golf Team were named recipients of the annual William Terminello Award for their respective squads, Director of Golf Rich Mueller and Head Women's Coach Amy Weeks announced on Thursday. The William Terminello Award annually honors each team's Most Valuable Player.
Han led the Lions in stroke average (72.69), top-10 finishes (three), top-25 finishes (four), and par/under-par rounds (six). In seven invitationals and 13 rounds of golf, the first-year placed second at the UConn Collegiate at Greathorse and seventh at both the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational and Cornell Invitational.
Columbia's seven-member 2019-20 women's golf team consisting of senior Emily Chu, junior Katie Lee, sophomores Alexis Florio, Marlene Tartaro, and Jennifer Wang and first-years Christine Shao and Annie Sun finished the year with a 302.5 stroke average through four invitationals and 10 rounds. With its 302.5 average, the Lions established a new team scoring record, besting the previous mark of 303.96 set in 2016-17. Florio led the Lions with a 74.80 stroke average and shot a team individual-low 70 at the Dartmouth Invitational, Shao (74.90) led the Lions with three top-25 finishes and Wang ranked third on the squad with a 75.10 stroke average.
Columbia's 2019-20 season was cut short due to health concerns caused by COVID-19 (Coronavirus outbreak).
