Lion Men Post Third Place Finish At Princeton XC Invite

Columbia Cross Country's David Vorbach led the Lion men with a fifth place finish, while the Lion women finished 17th overall.
PRINCETON, N.J. — Three Columbia Cross Country men finished inside the top 15, led by David Vorbach's fifth place finish, to collect a third-place finish overall, while the Lion women posted a 17th place finish at the Princeton Cross Country Invitational ran at West Windsor Fields in the final tune-up before the Ivy League Cross Country Heps.
HOW IT HAPPENED (MEN): Columbia's third place finish was powered by Vorbach's fifth place finishing time of 24:19.1, and his finish was the best among the Ivy League runners. But the fifth-place finish wasn't earned by just Vorbach's strong finish, as Tyler Berg and Jack Bennett joined him inside the top 15.
Berg, who ran the race in 24:39.4, finished 11th and Bennett, running his second career 8K, clocked a personal best time of 24:48.7 to finish 15th. Rounding out Columbia's top finishers was Talha Syed, who crossed the line in 35th posting a personal best time of 25:19.0 and Anish Nanjappa, who's 40th place time of 25:22.9 was also a personal best.
HOW IT HAPPENED (WOMEN): Columbia's best finish for the women came from Lilly Bradley, who clocked a time of 23:36.7 (67th) in her first 6.1K of her collegiate career. Rachel Kenny posted a personal best time of 23:54.4 (83rd) and Angela Saidman rounded out Columbia's finishers inside the top 90, clocking a time of 23:56.3 (86th).
