NEW YORK -- The Columbia women's soccer team (8-5-1, 2-3-0) returns to Rocco B. Commisso Stadium on Saturday to host the Yale University Bulldogs at 3:00 P.M..
Saturday's contest will also serve as a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Fundraiser as part of the team's "Columbia Kicks Cancer" campaign. Donations can be made at any time through the following link,Â

Here are five things to keep in mind ahead of kickoff.
#1 | DEFENDING RBC
Columbia returns to Rocco B. Commisso Stadium after spending the last two weeks on the road. While away, the Lions picked up one win over Dartmouth and dropped a close contest to Princeton. To date, the Lions are 5-2-0 at home. Most recently, they have recorded two consecutive victories first over Penn, 2-0, then Adelphi, 6-0.
#2 |Â CONTINUED IVY LEAGUE COMPETITION
Currently ranked fifth in the Ivy League, Columbia has gone 2-3-0 in conference play with a pair of league contests left to play. Following play against Yale, the Lions will look to climb the ranks with a Senior Day matchup against third-ranked Harvard. Victories in the next two games can move Columbia up to as far as third place, dependent on results across the League.
#3 | OFFENSIVE SPREAD
Eight different athletes have found the back of the net this season. Sophomore
Nata Ramirez leads the Lions with seven goals and four assists for 18 points on the season. Junior
Ally Clark sits in second with five goals and three assists for 13 points while rookie
Sophia Cavaliere boasts four goals and two assists (10 points). Sophomores
Madi Pilla and
Mia Ferrentino have each contributed a pair of goals while teammates
Kendall McBride,
Spencer Robbins, and
Mallaika Tomar own one goal a piece.
#4 | IVY LEAGUE HONOREES
Eight Lions have been named to the Ivy League's Weekly Honor Roll, including Clark and McBride.who makes her first appearance this week.

#5Â | THE OPPONENT
The Yale Bulldogs (2-12-0, 1-4-0) enter Saturday with one conference with to its name after defeating Cornell, 1-0, on Saturday, Oct. 16. The Bulldogs have also spread scoring across eight unique athletes; rookies Alanna Butcher and Ellie Rappole lead the charge with two goals each. Classmate Rebeka Roth recorded her first  collegiate goal in game-winning fashion against Cornell while teammates Ellery Winkler, Chloe Laureano, Mia Grillo, Tina Teik, and Reina Bonta have contributed one goal a piece this season.
While the Bulldogs hold a historic edge over the Lions (9-19-6), Columbia was victorious in the teams' most recent meeting: a 3-1 victory at home on Nov. 2, 2019.
