Archery Names Team Captains

NEW YORK— Three veteran archers, Meghan Collins, Nidhi Kanchumarthi, and Savannah Ward, have been named team captains for the 2021-22 Columbia Archery campaign, announced Head Coach Derek Davis last week.

All three of the team's captains are 2020 All-Americans.

"With the largest roster in my tenure as head coach, having strong captains will be imperative to our continued success," noted Davis. "I have no doubt these three young women will be the backbone of our program this season."

Collins and Ward were members of the 2019 archery team which secured the top spot at the 2019 Regional Outdoors Team Championship before claiming second at the 2019 National Outdoors Recurve Team Championship.

Meanwhile, Kanchumarthi will enter her junior season with All-American and Academic All-American recognition to her name.

Additional details of the 2021-22 Columbia Archery season will be released in the coming weeks.
