Kotzen will compete at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association event held in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
NEW YORK -- The Columbia men's tennis team will be represented by sophomore Alex Kotzen at the 2021 ITA Men's All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
One of just 48 players, nationally, to earn an automatic qualification, Kotzen will face Old Dominion's Luca Maldoner in the main draw round of 64 at 11:00 A.M. EST, 10:00 A.M. CST.

Kotzen's sophomore campaign has proven fruitful as the New York City native left his mark on last month's UVA Fall Classic. Playing from the top singles spot, Kotzen went 2-1 including a straight sets defeat of #101 Karl Poling (Princeton). Alongside rookie teammate Jayden Templeman, Kotzen earned three consecutive victories in the doubles competition, refusing to drop a match.
The Lions last competed at the 2019 ITA Men's All-American Championships in record-breaking fashion. Doubles team Jack Lin and Jackie Tang went on a historic run ending in the program's first ever ITA All-American Doubles title. With the victory, Lin and Tang became just the second Ivy league duo to win the event.
