NEW YORK -- The Columbia men's squash program officially announced the addition of six new student-athletes to its nationally ranked men's squad on Saturday. In addition to introducing athletes from nearby upstate New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, the Lions welcome a trio of international players hailing from the United Kingdom, Canada, and South Korea.
"We want to welcome one of the biggest classes the men's team has had to the Columbia Lions family," said associate head coach
Joanne Schickerling. "With six new players coming from all over the world and the team only graduating one player last year from the top nine, this class is going to add tremendous depth to the team. These players' work ethic, talent and international playing experience is going to give the team what it needs to reach the teams goals!"
