BOSTON — Columbia Cross Country, following the Ivy League Cross Country Heps, will take it's shot at the Northeast Regional as the Lion women (6K) and Lion men (10K) run the NCAA Northeast Regional Cross Country Championships on Friday, Nov. 12 at Franklin Park.
The women's 6K will get started at 11 a.m. and the men's 10K will go off at 12 p.m. Live results for both the men's and women's race can be found by clicking here.
ALL-IVY LIONS: At the Ivy League Heps, on Oct. 30 at West Windsor Fields, three Lions earned All-Ivy League honors with top 15 finishes. On the women's side, first-year Phoebe Anderson finished fourth to earn First Team honors, while sophomore Nikki Vanasse finished 11th to earn Second Team honors.
For the men, junior Tyler Berg crossed the line 11th to lock up Second Team honors. Academically, Berg earned Academic All-Ivy League honors, along with senior Linnaea Kavulich.
Both the men's and women's teams finished fourth overall at Heps.
BACK AT REGIONALS: The last time Columbia Cross Country ran at the NCAA Regionals was in 2019, when in a cold and snowy Buffalo, New York, the Lion women finished fourth overall, which eventually led to an at-large bid to the NCAA Cross Country Championships. Both Katie Wasserman '20CC and Allie Hays '21CC finished inside the top 10, with Wasserman crossing sixth and Hays coming in eighth to earn All-Region honors.
